Bengaluru 3d printed post office | First 3d printed post office of India | National

 Technology is getting better day by day, new technology of 3d printing helps us manufacturing any product with the 3d design , it is the construction of any 3d model using computer control and CAD 3d designs. Once 3d design is made by CAD then it is just implemented to the computer and then computer create a 3d product using materials provided.Materials are added layer by layer to produce a 3d printed object. Using the same technology ,India has constructed a 3d printed post office in Bengaluru. It is the first 3d printed post office in the world. 

It is made by using COBOD's 3d printing technology , the company named as L&T took the project in March 2023 and completed the post office in just 43 days. Though the estimated time duration with the conventional method to complete the project was of 8 months yet it got executed completely in 43 days with the help of 3d printing technology. The company used 3d and robotic technology which helped to construct it within a lesser time than which was estimated. The project got inaugurated on 18 Aug 2023.

The project was helped by PM Narendra Modi and Minister of Union Railways and Communication Ashwini Vaishnaw. It was Ashwini Vaishnaw who inaugurated the post office embarking the technology to use for National development. This World's first 3d printed post office is situated in Bengaluru at Cambridge layout, Halasuru which would house the Ulssor Bazaar post office, the post office is constructed within 1021 square feet and it cost 23 lakh rupees to complete it. Ashwin Vaishnaw said that 3d printing technology could be used in other government building project because it is beneficial for cost cutting and time. 

Larsen and Toubro estimated that it would take 45 days to complete it but it was constructed within 43 days, L&T used COBOD'S BOD2 3D printer to complete it and IIT Madras helped the company for structural design. 

This is really a great news for India , India is taking steps towards technology and with the help of it India has designed its first 3d printed temple in Sidipet,Telangana where Lord Ganesha ,Lord Shiv and Goddess Durga statues are designed with 3d printers ,even the whole temple is built with the 3d printing technology. IIT Madras inaugurated their first house constructed within 600 square feet which was made by using the same technolgy.
