In February 2020, Donald Trump and his family visited India. Actually, the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi invited Donald Trump to visit for a tour in India so at his request Former USA President Donald Trump visited the country India.
Former USA President Donald Trump arrived in India on 25 February 2020 at New Delhi. He resided in India for about two days. He was in India for 36 hours, his tour in India with his daughter and wife became a remarkable event in the world.
In Feb 2020 when he and his family arrived India he was firstly invited by the Indian President to the President House of India in Delhi for dinner. Donald Trump with his wife Melania Trump ate dinner with then the Indian President Ram Nath Govind and his wife Savita Govind at Rashtrapati Bhavan i.e. Indian Presidency House. It was a fabulous moment to see two presidents of the world's largest democracies together meeting and eating on a table.
With the Presidents, some more famous politicians, cricketers, artists, and more of India joined, some of them were Venkiah Naidu, Om Birla, Rajnath Singh, A R Rehman, Sachin, and many other Indian state ministers.
After this, Donald Trump was welcomed in loud cheers at a cricket stadium in India. India PM Narendra Modi inaugurated a ceremony of welcome for him at the stadium. In the ceremony both Modi and Trump gave speeches, PM Modi thanked Trump for coming to India on his invitation and moreover Modi thanked him for creating a good relationship between both countries USA and India. Donald Trump in his speech thanked India for such a welcome and he told about agreements, ideas and trade to be shared between these two countries USA and India.
Trump in his speech remarked India as the largest democracy in the world and praised the cricketers of India, he talked about Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli, and definitely, he called for the Taj Mahal and was eager to visit it.
He was also called for a press conference in Delhi in which he told that America had been doing well for the Corona pandemic he and his people worked hard to finish the disease and wanted to bring a vaccine for the COVID 19. He also talked about terrorist activities in the world, he told that the USA had been taking major actions against terrorism. He praised PM Modi as a good leader. He remarked India is a place of democracy where every religion flourishes together and every citizen is free. He told that many agreements of trade and technology the USA want to do with India. He also talked about the relationship between India and Pakistan, he told that he would want to see a friendly relation between both countries. He called India a religiously free country where everyone can live together in peace and harmony without the concern of Faith or Religion.
"America loves India, America respects India" Donald Trump begins his speech with a "Namaste India". He gets roars of approval with almost every sentence.
Moreover, he replied to a question about India, he called India a powerful nation of the world, an independent country which is widely respected by all, he too respect India and its people and thanked everyone for inviting him
Thus, Former USA President Donald with his wife Melania Trump tour in India in Feb 2020 for two days in which they met the citizens of India and ministers of India. He visited the Taj Mahal too.
