1- Baltimore Bridge - Collapsed

A bridge built in 1977 in Baltimore,Maryland fell down, Francis Scott Key Bridge over Patapsco river got damaged by a ship named as MV Dali ,a Singaporean ship lost its power around 1.30am on 26 March 2024 and collided with the bridge. Cars on the bridge fell down at that time , 6 people who were construction workers for the bridge lost their lives and the bridge has got a lot of damage. The Government of USA has replied that it would take more than four years to reconstruct the bridge.

2- TikTok banned in America

TikTok is a video sharing app launched by a Chinese company BytesDance, now this app which could be used by anyone using their smart phones has been banned in America in April 2024. American government banned because it can use data of citizens , spy on users of the app and moreover can be a threat to National Security. TikTok has been by India in June 2020 because of tensions on the borders and a threat to nation's sovereign. TikTok was launched in 50 countries ,34 out of 50 countries has already banned the app. 

3- Mother's Day 2024 in America

In America , Mother's day for 2024 is celebrated on 12 May 2024 while in UK it is celebrated on 10 March 2024. Different dates are here for two countries ,this because in USA Mother's day is celebrated on second Sunday of the May month while in UK it is on the fourth Sunday of the Lent. Lent is a 40 day time period for Christian to remember Jesus, which ends up with Easter. In India, Australia, Canada, for 2024 Mother's day is on 12 May 2024.

4- Tornadoes in USA 2024

Tornado always comes in USA every year. In April and May 2024 , more than 300 tornadoes were recorded across the nation. Most number of tornadoes occurred in Iowa, a state in USA ,more than 50 times tornado activity was seen here in April 2024. Other states where this natural disaster was seen are Nebraska, Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas and more.Texas reported more than 35 times of tornado activity in May 2024.

Read across America is an event which held in America in honor to Dr.Seuss. Theodor Seuss Geisel was an American writer and cartoonist who used write for children books.He was born on 2nd March 1904, in his honor Read across America is celebrated where goal is to create interest in children for reading and making parents or teachers to read with kids. So, on 2nd March 2024 this event held which kept on going for the whole month and theme of this event in 2024 was Celebrating a nation of diverse readers ,this was to encourage people to read various or diverse books on culture, ideas, information and more. 

6- Copa America Final Results 2024

Copa America , is an event where National Men's Football Teams from all over South America take part in this World's oldest continental Football Tournament. This year 2024 , it was organized in America. Final match was between Argentina and Colombia , where results was that Argentina won this match and tournament.
